TBR Intervention #6

TBR Intervention is a weekly challenge hosted by  April @ Books4Juliet, Dani @ Refracted Light and Ayanami @ Whatever You Can Still Betray

The goal of this challenge is to help each other (fellow readers and bloggers) manage our enormous and constantly growing TBR (To-Be-Read) List. The rules are simple and everyone is encouraged to participate. It does not force you to commit to more than what you can manage to read in a week or so, but participants are encouraged to read at least one book within a week. You are free to choose the book you want to read and commit to this challenge. You may post your entry every Saturday, at the frequency of your choice–EVERY WEEK or EVERY TWO WEEKS. However, we will sponsor this event regularly every Saturday.

MY LAST WEEK’S TBRIC:

Starcrossed (Starcrossed #1)
By Josephine Angelini
I finished finally, and really loved, couldn’t put it down some moments and can’t wait to read the second one. It’s a very big book, with lots of story and characters but they’re all important and have a reason to be there. Loved how the author really researched to start this book, because there are some powers really tricky and she get them right.
If you like mythology like me, it’s a must read, if you don’t the story is good and solid but you must feel to is a little slow to show real progress because it was necessary to explain things on this book. Review posted here.

THE BOOK I COMMIT TO READ NEXT WEEK:
Icebound
Author: Julie Rowe
Publication Date: November 14th, 2011
Published By: Carina Press
Genre/Category: Contemporary Romance

Summary on Goodreads:
Dr. Emilie Saunderson is driven to finish her late husband’s research. Her quest brings her to Antarctica, where she hopes to find a measure of peace in the isolated and icy wilderness. It’s the last place on earth she expects to be given a second chance at love.

Tom Wolinski loves his work at the bottom of the world. Damaged by his dark past, he has vowed never to get close to anyone—a promise that’s easy to keep in a place with no permanent residents. That is, until Emilie arrives, and he’s irresistibly drawn to her warmth and inner strength.

Emilie has no desire to get involved with another adventurer, and Tom has made it clear he’s not interested in putting down roots. But as they work together to survive in the harshest of climates, they turn to one another for comfort. Is the heat between them enough to melt the ice around their hearts, and bind them together forever?

ON MY SHELF SINCE: Not long, only October 31, but I need to read for review, it was meant to be on the release date, but you can that didn’t happen.
WHY I CHOOSE THIS BOOK: I love Carina Press books, they are fun, sexy and with a lot of romance, so love stories, who doesn’t love them?
