Book Blurb:

In the small college town of Morganville, vampires and humans lived in (relative) peace-until all the rules got rewritten when the evil vampire Bishop arrived, looking for the lost book of vampire secrets. He’s kept a death grip on the town ever since. Now an underground resistance is brewing, and in order to contain it, Bishop must go to even greater lengths. He vows to obliterate the town and all its inhabitants-the living and the undead. Claire Danvers and her friends are the only ones who stand in his way. But even if they defeat Bishop, will the vampires ever be content to go back to the old rules, after having such a taste of power?

My Thoughts:

One point I didn’t liked was Eve, because for someone who has lived her hole life in Morganville and knowing that vampires use dirty tricks in the humans, it was not a surprise for me when Bishop kinda tied Claire to his will, but my really problem was Eve not understanding and after everything that happened acted like it was Claire own fault.

Claire finally turned seventeen but her life is upside down, she went back to her parents house and now she’s all alone, trying to save the vampires with the cure and discover a way to save Shane. Still “working” for Bishop.

But I liked that now some new characters has a chance to shine (like Richard) and Claire has a more mature attitude, plus some spicy scenes that we’ve been waiting for a long time.

I liked the fast pace on this book and the action was built since Lord of Misrule, so now things were really well put. Myrnin as always was perfect and I couldn’t tell witch side he was until the end of book. Plus for me was a bit hilarious how Claire’s parents reacted in this book. One of the best of the year.
