This short story takes place when Gin is a teenager. It’s told from the point of view of Fletcher Lane, Gin’s assassin mentor, and focuses on Gin’s first solo job as the assassin the Spider.

This was another novella that explained the early years of Gin Blanco. But this one was a bit different because we can see Gin in action on her first solo job and it after Fletcher to see his adopted girl doing her job so well.

There was another thing in this story. I have the confirmation of the killer responsible for Gin family death. The fire elemental was named in this story and Fletcher is training Gin to avenge her family on the future.

It was nice seeing Fletcher as the proud parent and how happy he was about Gin being good in killing people. Nice story and very fast paced.
