For werewolf Natalya Stravinsky, the supernatural is nothing extraordinary. What does seem strange is that she’s stuck in her hometown of South Toms River, New Jersey, the outcast of her pack, selling antiques to finicky magical creatures. Restless and recovering from her split with gorgeous ex-boyfriend, Thorn, Nat finds comfort in an unusual place: her obsessively collected stash of holiday trinkets. But complications pile up faster than her ornaments when Thorn returns home—and the two discover that the spark between them remains intense.

Before Nat can sort out their relationship, she must face a more immediate and dangerous problem. Her pack is under attack from the savage Long Island werewolves—and Nat is their first target in a turf war. Toss in a handsome wizard vying for her affection, a therapy group for the anxious and enchanted, and the South Toms River pack leader ready to throw her to the wolves, and it’s enough to give anybody a panic attack. With the stakes as high as the full moon, Nat must summon all of her strength to save her pack and, ultimately, herself.

I heard not so great things about this book, but I like werevolves stories and a alpha on the prowl is usually interesting to see, but I got a little confused at times during the book. Nat is a great characther and I felt sorry for her at times because she has a huge family and while she in crisis nobody helped her.

It’s interesting in this because I felt bad for her, but I understand her family position, because she is a liabilty to everyone while she’s lost and without control, but she’s also very sick and it’s nothing new for the family.

The relationship with Thorn was my biggest issue in this book, because they don’t look so in love, for me it’s more like a crazy moment together without more responsabilities. I don’t like him and the way he never choses but continues to use Nat’s fellings.

On the other end, I actually liked Nick and he showed several times that he’s more carefull with her condition and still showed a very softy side, but he’s very good in protecting her. I kinda prefer him and the werewolf laws are a bit insane for me.

The fight reasons were another problem, because we only got an answer at the very end and it’s nothing very substancial. I disagree with the whole fight and how the werewolves handled this invasion, it looked like they weren’t ready, but it sounds like a normal thing in their race.

It’s a good book, but confusing at moments and way too slow.
