Mistress Nora needs a vacation. She might be the one flogging the clients, but Kingsley, her sexy French boss, is the real sadist who rarely gives her a day off. They strike a backseat deal: Nora gets one month off and a trip to Europe if she can sneak into a rival BDSM club and get the dirt on the owner. But she’ll need more than her little red riding crop when she comes face to face with Brad Wolfe, the one man who stands between her and freedom.

My first time with Nora and Kingsley. I liked the relationship between these two and the best part is the fact we get to see how witty Nora is. I loved the conversation and the little snippets we got from Nora’s life.
I loved the fact she doesn’t take bull from others and enjoy her life to it’s fullest. This little night of pleasure takes place two years before the Siren. So we get to see Nora doing her best. And she’s only hoping for a vacation. What a girl must do to get a little time off.

Mia is a respected psychologist with the Company—an interplanetary conglomerate—and a master at using virtual technology to penetrate the criminal mind. No one knows about her sex-slave past, or about the dark desires she tries to ignore. When she’s given Dylan Benjamin’s case and told to break him down, something about the man, something primal, reaches deep inside her and strokes the taboo lust she’s worked so hard to hide.

Dylan just wanted revenge against the Company. He never expected to get caught stealing, or to be pitted against Mia in a virtual world. But he recognizes the darkness lurking in her and he’ll do anything to draw it out, to prove they’re kindred spirits. Only he can give Mia what she needs—not soft and gentle but hard and fast. No roses or pretty words—just chains and rough, raw pleasure.

I had a few problems with this novella since the begin, and that’s weird because this is a erotica and there’s bound to be at least some things I could like. I do love a good alien book, but this was a bit disappointing, because I couldn’t understand the connecting between Dylan and Mia. He sounded like a very smart and intelligent thief, but I just don’t understand his reasons to just get caught.
And why was so important to him that she could understand him and release her fears. I think if this book was a full novel I would DNF, but because his entire length was 69 pages I decided to finish it.
