Review: Morgan’s Surprise by Jayne Rylon

Morgan's Surprise (Powertools, #2)

For a tasty birthday treat, add four men and stir.
Note to self: When confessing a crush on an ultra-hot construction worker to your best friend, make sure he’s not standing right behind you.
If Morgan thought spilling the beans on her lust for Joe would scare him off, she couldn’t have been more wrong. Following her birthday wish gone awry, the hunk is treating her to one surprise after another. From little things that make her smile to lavish, romantic dates, Joe is turning out to be the stuff of dreams
Joe’s attentions to the sexy pastry shop owner begin as lighthearted fun. Until he finds out about the past that, until now, has made her keep him at arm’s length. Determined to show her seeking pleasure is no crime, he sets out to fulfill her steamiest fantasies—with a little help from three of his best friends.
After a four-course birthday adventure, which presents Morgan as the sweetest imaginable dessert, she expects Joe to walk away. But now that Joe’s brought Morgan out of her shell, he’s hungry for something he never expected to crave—a forever kind of love.
Warning: This book features a m/m/m/m/f ménage. Enough said.

This is the second book on this scorching hot series. This time we met Morgan, Kate’s friend and she’s is dying to have a taste of Joe. But she’s afraid because of her past and how her ex-fiancé used her and called her a slut after a ménage.

Kate knows all about this and still tries to help her overcome her fear but neither one knew about Joe listening on the conversation and well it turned out to be. He’s a nice guy, but tis kind of book is not for the faint of heart because there’s definitely more action than it could ever be seen in real life during a weekend.

I have nothing wrong about what happened but Morgan jumped on a ménage and was very happy. Plus nobody can have that penetration and be happy about it. Sometimes it takes awhile in the sex related things for me to believe in them. This book was a little on the fiction side when you read the last sexual encounter.

Review: The Sheikh and the Pregnant Bride by Susan Mallery

The Sheik and the Pregnant Bride (Silhouette Special Edition, #1885) (Desert Rogues, #12)

Maggie Collins had come to the exotic kingdom of El Deharia to restore Prince Qadir’s antique car…not to get married. The no-frills mechanic had been burned by love before, and marriage—even to a seductive sheik—didn’t top her agenda. But then Qadir made her an offer she should have refused.
It was meant to be a temporary engagement…until Maggie discovered she was pregnant. Now Qadir was honor-bound to give Maggie and her child the protection of his name. He never expected her to sweep him off his feet.
Would there be a royal wedding after all?

I liked this new country El Deharia, but I think is important to show all the players before start the show, so far I’ve only met As’ad and now Qadir. Maybe I would feel better meeting the rest of the family and seeing how they work together.

This is the second book in the family and this time there’s no aunt meddling, but this couple is actually together to escape the King’s matching making attitude. Maggie is a simple mechanic, but she matched perfectly with Prince Qadir, because he’s big on cars and is actually closest to Earth than the rest of his family.

I thought Maggie would get pregnant after a night of passion, but it’s actually different and she’s expecting her ex-boyfriend baby. That made things really interesting and the King didn’t like the news. But Qadir being the good guy he is, supported her and tried to make her happy and save while not thinking about the pregnancy at all.

This book was all about Maggie and Qadir, but I happened to enjoy the time Victoria appeared. She was fun and always made things interesting by her way of thinking. The next book is about her and she wanted a prince to marry, but it looks like she finally managed her wish, but with the wrong prince.
