What is Children’s Book Week?

Established in 1919, Children’s Book Week is the longest-running literacy initiative in the country. Each year, books for young people and the joy of reading are feted for a full week with author and illustrator appearances, storytelling, parties, and other book-related events at schools, libraries, bookstores, museums, and homes from coast to coast!

For this giveaway I decided to chose a series very dear to my heart and now it seams the new movie it’s coming out, so a very good match. I read them all so fast because mythology is one off my favorite themes and this series has this and even more action.

The Lightning Thief (Percy Jackson and the Olympians, #1) The Sea of Monsters (Percy Jackson and the Olympians, #2) The Titan's Curse (Percy Jackson and the Olympians, #3) The Battle of the Labyrinth (Percy Jackson and the Olympians, #4) The Last Olympian (Percy Jackson and the Olympians, #5)

  1. Since this is a childrens book week draw I would like to see Horton's Miraculous Mechanism by Lissa Evans or Alexander Drakes Extraordinary Pursuit by Elizabeth Parkinson Bellows, they sound like books my granddaughters would love to read..

  2. Thank is one awesome line up. I have the Sea Monsters, but I have yet to read it lol. I am hopping over from the Kid Lit GH. Have a great book week, cheers Julie Grasso

  3. Can't pick just one – Doctor Sleep by Stephen King, Origin, and Allegiant. By the way, I have a grandson who would love the Percy Jackson books. Thanks for joining this hop!Bonnie Hilligoss/bonhill@speakeasy.net
