TBR Intervention #19

TBR Intervention is a weekly challenge hosted by  April @ Books4Juliet, Dani @ Refracted Light and Ayanami @ Whatever You Can Still Betray

The goal of this challenge is to help each other (fellow readers and bloggers) manage our enormous and constantly growing TBR (To-Be-Read) List. The rules are simple and everyone is encouraged to participate. It does not force you to commit to more than what you can manage to read in a week or so, but participants are encouraged to read at least one book within a week. You are free to choose the book you want to read and commit to this challenge. You may post your entry every Saturday, at the frequency of your choice–EVERY WEEK or EVERY TWO WEEKS. However, we will sponsor this event regularly every Saturday.

So I’ve read a lot this week. One freebie from Amazon, one ARC from netGalley, another Morganville Vampire book, and last but not least one Nora Roberts for the read-a-long. Overall, this week books were really good.

This week I’ll finish the Morganville Vampires, these are so good that in some moments I felt like this town could really exist. I’m just lovin’ it.

Maya Banks is one of my favorite authors for Erotica and Romance and I bought this series last week but still haven’t found the time to actually enjoy it. I try to start this week after I finish the vampires.

I pledged to finish Carpe Corpus and to read Fade Out for my Star Series and I can say that for last week: challenge finished. I loved both books and the action on this series is taking things to a hole new level that I wasn’t expecting when I read the first book. Definily worth taking a shot. My reviews will be posted on 22 and 23.

A plus for last week was Dangerous Grounds, a freebie that I picked last year from Amazon and read for Why Buy the Cow? Reading Challenge 2012

I’m currently reading Goddess Interrupted so after finishing this one I’ll read and review Rebellion this Tuesday for the MacGregors Read-a-long, plus the eight book on the Morganville Vampires Series. And maybe if possible Ghost Town too, but this one is only if keep the hopes up.

imageI finished this one yesterday and the review will be posted on the Saturday, I think. Best of the series so far, this one had all the action and more love than I could think it possible, plus a weather drama. Perfect. Already reading Carpe Corpus.

THIS WEEK’S TBRIC:
imageI intend to finish reading this series until next week and have all the reviews schedule through the month, with a special guest post from Mrs. Rachel Caine herself to close the first month on my new feature Star Series. She already emailed me her part and I squeee like a teenager when I first read it.
Anyway for this week my plans are to finish Carpe Corpus and read Fade Out.

Last week I promised to finish Everneath and read My Soul to Save and I can say that both are done and the reviews also are finished and scheduled for this week. So 100% finished with last week TBRIC, plus both books were great. Everneath was everything that I expected and My Soul to Save was a good introduction to what I hope are more books in the Netherworld.

This month I decided to create a new feature here on the blog and I’m trying to stick with the schedule. For the hole month will read and review The Morganville Vampire series. Right now I’m halfway through with Feast of Fools so for next week will be Lord of Misrule, plus some freebies to be chosen (the list is pretty big).

Well I didn’t finish this time, but I read a book for a book tour next week, so yeah, pretty good considering there we’re lost of essays to do.
The book was a bit slow on start but now things are actually great. I love greek mythology so this book is like jackpot, plus a DAC. Win-win.
imageTHIS WEEK’S TBRIC:

Finish Everneath, because I’m halfway through and continue with the Soul Screamers Challenge and need to read My Soul to Save.

I was so anxious to read this book as soon as the last page of My Soul to Take was turned. I’m loving this series.

This one was a really enjoyable read. Third book on the Outsiders series and is about a prophecy and soul mates. I loved this couple, how strong she is. The dog was very special. My review can be find here.

For this week I also be reading books for a tour but this ones are a bit different. The author made a collection of short stories and each book has a theme.
