For all eternity, only one thing shall separate them—until the Blood Law is avenged…
The coming of the Blood Moon will lead two Lycan packs into war, spur two rival brothers into conflict, and spark an act of vengeance so evil that its effects will be felt for generations.
One woman stands at the center of it all.
As undisputed Alpha, Rafael must choose a life mate to preserve the dominance of his Lycan pack. He never suspected, his mate would be a human, the same wounded, girl-woman he seduces from the brink of death. Falon is a dangerous combination of Lycan and Slayer—beings bred to destroy his kind. Even more, she’s a mesmerizing beauty whose sensuality tempts the seasoned warrior to take unnecessary risks. The primal heat between them is irresistible, yet surrendering to it could destroy them both…for a vengeful foe stands ready in the shadows to fulfill what is rightfully his by Blood Law.
The book was a good introduction for a new trilogy and even thought it ended with a cliff we know what to expect from the main characters for the next installment. It took me a few chapters to really get into the story, mostly because was a bit slow, but I understand the need to explain the past and with it’s really important to the fights.
Trust me after that after started the good parts the story had a nice flow. There’s a lot of sex, but also the fights were great deal in the book. Since the story is centered in a pack of werewolves fighting for survival and there humans with dark magic trying to destroy the shifters.
There was a good plot and I was hoping for Falon to get her happy ending with Rafael. She suffered a lot during her life, especially with things she didn’t understand, but the moment Rafael entered her life things started looking good for her, but the Blood Law says Lucien gets the right to kill her to avenge a mate Rafael killed years ago.
The thing is we know Rafael did the right thing because the girl Lucien wanted to mate was a Slayer and they are forbidden to get involved with the human hunters, but Lucien never knew about her true purpose and blames Rafael for jealous.
So the book has a lot of story, but we get to see Rafael and Falon falling in love and fighting to overcame these rules and stay together as mates. Lucien during the book is like a bad boy with a lot of attitude and of course gets in the middle of the new couple trying to separate the two and get his revenge.
I liked Rafael and how fair he is. Falon was an interesting and I believe some secrets will arise in the next book related to her. Lucien was really bad, but had a bit of reason, I just didn’t liked the fact he’s not very right in relation with money.
