I liked Rafe from the previous book, he had a good sense of humor and it was a very serious guy especially because of his job and the dangerous places he had visited during his life as a soldier. I liked him better on the begin of this book, but the ending was a bit rushed and some information was never even shared.

Zara was annoying during the most part of the book. She wanted a family and them she didn’t want to stay learning about her father. She was contradictory most of the time and kept complains that she never wanted that. I get it she was poor and a king for a daddy is not what anyone would expect but she just could accept things.

The relationship between these two was a bit rushed and it was fun to watch them getting to know secrets but also a bit boring. There was maybe two kisses and them they jumped to sex. Next week she’s in love and he’s afraid of commitment. Fun times. But I liked king Hassan, he improved the attitude and the way he treated his daughter.

I had a few problems with this book and was a little lost at first. It’s strange that Kardal has the same last name as the other sheikh’s mentioned on the previous books, but his ife is completely different and his also a prince of the desert. It took me some time to actually understand the reasons, but I don’t believe it was necessary for him to use his father name.

Other point I did not like was the way Kardal treated Sabrina. Yes, she was raised on the States but that does not mean she’s a bad person, but every moment he could, he acused her of something terrible, like lying cheating. I did not like also the way prince Hassan treated her. She’s his daughter and if she does not act as he expected why did he let her go. As a king his children should all be raised in the palace, but he let Sabrina mother take her to the States and still she want’s treated really good.

I hated the way Kardal lied to her the entire and still considered her to be spoiled. He does as he wants and she is always wrong according to his rules. I think he deserved to suffer a little more to actually understand what it felt for Sabrina to discover another lying person in her life.

I liked Heidi form the begin, but was a little strange to see her dress herself that bad, while she was raised to begin the next princess. She’s smart and funny, plus spent several years in college preparing herself to work on El Bahar old documents. She could dress better and know more about the King plans.

I agree that she’s the perfect match for Prince Jamal, even if they don’t exactly know each other, but an arranged marriage is very normal for this royalty and they accepted because the King said so.

Their honeymoon didn’t start very good and we see Heidi trying to really hard to actually live with her husband. Jamal was once married but his wife treated him really bad and only wanted the position she could have when marrying royalty, so a few sentences Heidi said made Jamal think she was just like his deceased ex.

But I loved when Heidi decided to work for her marriage and created a new person to seduce her husband into a relationship, my only problem were the lies. I would prefer if she had done that with her own name, without making him believe she was someone else.

But at the end I actually liked their relationship.

Nora was just a girl running after she discovered her fiancé was an asshole and treated her really bad because he was never in love with her and was just pretending all the time just to keep his job, but it was really unusual how she asked for a ride with Prince Khalil and he said yes.

He wasn’t the best person in the begin of the story but I could feel his frustrations, first at his secretary that only wanted to sleep with him and enjoy his fortune, but the worst part was his fiancé. He was betrothed to her since childhood because her family was very important for the country and his job as a prince included think of the country needs first.

The girl, Amber is a piece of work, because she fuck with any male, even Khalil’s brother and doesn’t even pretend to be a good girl. It’s really interesting to see how she wove a net around him and there was no way he could escape the marriage because it would be real bad.

But I liked the way he seduced Nora, my only problem was the fact he didn’t explained to her about Amber and his reasons for a rush wedding in the first place. She never guessed anything and it was strange watching her discovering his lies and thinking it was her fault.

I liked their relationship, Nora had trouble acpteing the reasons why Khalil had married her in the first place, but I enjoy his wooing days. The best part was his reaction on the last page. Oe thing that could had been handled earlier on the book was the Amber situation. I don’t see a reason to let her cause more problems. But that’s just me…

"Cordina’s Crown Jewel, " part of the Cordina’s Royal Family miniseries, marks Roberts’s 100th title with Harlequin and Silhouette. This brand-new story features Princess Camilla de Cordina, who runs away, assumes a new identity, and begins working for archaeologist Delaney Caine. But as her irritation towards Delaney grows into desire, she knows she’ll soon have to reveal her true identity.

Photobucket

This is the final book in the series and it was a written many years after the original forth as a special edition, but I find it totally unnecessary because the original princes of Cordina are all married and the evil man is gone for good.

But I read this book as a regular romance, without pushing for the Cordina family and they barely made appearance. Camilla is young and has worked her entire life as a princess and now she’s twenty five without a clue of her future.

I liked the relationship with Delaney, because he’s like a bear and only complains but he’s actually brilliant and helped Camilla realize life can be all about research and discoveries.

For the romance alone the book was fine, not all that exciting, but she’s a princess and the her life is really boring without the glamour, and it’s all about work and work. Fun!

LADY OF MYSTERY

Prince Bennett of Cordina had been making gossip headlines since his teens – but the prim and proper Lady Hannah Rothchild wasn’t his usual choice in women. Something in her eyes intrigued him, and he was determined to discover what she was trying to hide.

Hannah knew that Bennett could easily jeopardize her safety, so from the moment they met she was on her guard. Yet despite all her attempts to avoid him, she was falling under his spell, making them both more vulnerable to the dangers that surrounded them. She’d lost her heart to a man she was forced to deceive – but then, love knows no right or wrong.

PhotobucketThird book was not perfect but I enjoyed after Hannah started struggling with her character. I liked Bennett since the first book and already had an imagine of his perfect match, but Hannah was a surprise and her lies made their relationship start in a rocky bottom.

So Hannah is lying and pretending to be the good girl and very boring, but Bennett is used to deal with horses and he could see right through her lies and it made the attraction really strong for these two, but since it’s her job, she just can’t forget and needs to keep him save without him knowing about it.

So the action was the break point for me to actually enjoy the book. We can see how all the older couples are still together and also the big villain is finally free from prison and it’s back to destry the family.

It was good in the end, but the romance was not the best of the series.

In Eve Hamilton’s youth, His Royal Highness Alexander de Cordina had played the part of a fairy-tale prince, but seven years ago Eve had learned that its villains were undeniably real. She had also learned to put her childhood dreams behind her.

It was Alexander’s request that brought Eve, along with her theatrical troupe, back to Cordina. She still took his breath away with her flawless beauty, and just the sight of her natural sensuality made him ache. It soon became evident that the dangers would never remain in the past – but neither would the desires.

Photobucket

It’s interesting seeing Eve again and in a strange relationship with Alexander when we all thought she would end up with the playboy. She was very important on the end of Affaire Royale, by helping save Brie and getting the family attention.

She was just a teenager than and now ten years after her first visit to the palace, she’s back and very successful business women as a request of the Alexander to help children, impressive right?

That young girl who just wanted to be an actress became a very good producer and now owns a world renowned group of artists that will perform on Cordina to help raise money for kids treatment on hospitals, but the bogey man is back and terrorizing the royal family once again, the interesting thing is that his still in jail.

I liked how the romance was handled during the book, because knowing Alexander from the previous book and how serious he is, Eve is actually the perfect girl for him, because she is fun and was raise to be a lady. I actually liked this two together and the series is in a good path.

Every inch a princess, Gabriella had been found crumpled and unconscious on the side of the road. Now she was supposedly safe, with her royal family she didn’t remember…and a darkly handsome detective she’d never forget.

Reeve MacGee had given her memories to treasure, but would he proved her with a brokenhearted future?

Photobucket

First book in this series, but I didn’t like this cover!! I liked the plot about a princess with amnesia and a sexy bodyguard helping her keep save and very happy. Reeve had he’s troubles with Cordina way of royalty but loved Gabriella for so long, that an attempt to kill her was all it took for him to jump and help.

I liked this book, because we could met and love Brie without all the pretense of royalty. She wanted to rediscover herself and work to remember how kidnapped her in the first place.

She’s really sweet, but with a lot of obligations and good head to help people. Reeve was just a guy trying to re-start in life, for years he worked on security and was once a cop, but now he wants to be a farmer and watch life pass very calmly.

The romance and action were really good, because we could follow as Brie was discovering things and she’s really smart despise having been protected since child. The family was trying to hide some bad things, but Brie fought hard to know the truth.

The Inferno struck without warning, but Draco Dante had no complaints. For his family’s legacy drew him to Shayla Charleston, a mysterious beauty who ignited his blood. Soon he had her in his bed…and just as quickly she was gone.

After months of searching, Draco finally found the woman who was his destiny…the woman who was about to bear his child. But secrets began to rise, and Draco was torn between past strife with their families, and a future with his wife and son. Could Draco trust she shared their Inferno bond? Or had Shayla agreed to their marriage pact for an entirely different reason?

My Thoughts

This series is almost over and we get to see a very strong woman. In the same party Rafe found his Inferno bride we discovered Shayla, and Draco found the women of his life. But things are not that simple and these two suffered a lot before finally love each other.

Shayla was party crashing because she wanted a glimpse of the Dante and the next day she had a business meeting with them, but she also wanted a wild night and to lose her V card since it was her birthday and freedom was her wish. That’s how she met Draco, he was close to the door and the first to see her, but when their touch made sparkles fly neither could escape for the night.

Shayla has a new job and vanished the night after, but Draco never stopped looking for her and we discovered that she was pregnant and her grandmother is pure evil. These two had to overcome lots of issues from both families, especially after they found some secrets from the past.

Great book and loved Draco.

One woman who was meant only for him? Rafe Dante denied The Inferno–that passionate knowing that made the palms of destined lovers itch. But his family wasn’t so easily convinced and paraded women in front of him. Until a brainstorm struck…

"He" would choose a bride, proclaim her his soul mate, and when she left, he’d be "brokenhearted" and his family wouldn’t dare interfere again. So Rafe hired sweet, beautiful Larkin Thatcher to be his temporary fiancée.

But Larkin had secrets–and then Rafe felt the infernal heat rising….

My Thoughts

Sixth book in this series and this one was really sweet. Larkin was hiding a secret but it was not her fault who she was related and she got in trouble after Rafe discovered everything, but things are not as bad as it sounds.

Rafe was tired of his family trying to marry him of, especially after they discovered his ex-wife wasn’t The Inferno Bride, and now that she’s dead for awhile and he didn’t found anyone new to spent the life, everyone is driving him crazy with meeting new people.

So one night he decides to pretend to have found this Inferno and made a pact with Larkin, but the only problem was these two didn’t expect to find more than love.

I loved the development in this book and how these two progressed into love. Really good.
