Summary:

Payne, twin sister of Vishous, is cut from the same dark, seductive cloth as her brother. Imprisoned for eons by their mother, the Scribe Virgin, she finally frees herself-only to face a devastating injury. Manuel Manello, M.D., is drafted by the Brotherhood to save her as only he can-but when the human surgeon and the vampire warrior meet, their two worlds collide in the face of their undeniable passion. With so much working against them, can love prove stronger than the birthright and the biology that separates them?

Review:

Not the best book in this series for me, because everything felt a little lost and there was almost no fight. Payne we met previously in this series and this is her story, but it felt like it was V and Doc Jane book two. There was way too much DR between this couple and after they found each other, I really thought things wereperfect, but V is messed up so a relationship is really difficult for him.

After discovering that Payne was his sister, V kinda lost it, but the book is also about Doc Manello helping Payne walk again and their love story. Nothing too complicated and he didn’t even changed, so a failure to me.

We also got some new and very badass vampires coming to town and creating all kinds of drama with the glymera, making everything more difficult for Wrath in the near future.

Summary:

Dera Williams is very happy when Gowan and Maitho Cooper finally invite her out on a date. But the day turns to disaster when there’s a downpour and they’re far from shelter. And that’s before Dera notices strangers watching Cooper’s Farm. Who are they and what is happening?

Gowan is determined their second date will be a success and he and Maitho put in an enormous amount of effort into cooking up the perfect scene. The evening is a great success and their romance is progressing really well. The men are certain she’ll soon agree to a much closer relationship with them.

Then Dera accepts an interview at a dodgy recruitment firm and the men are determined to protect her no matter what she wants or what anyone else says. Is someone targeting the women on the farm? And how can they keep such an independent woman safe?

Review:

I’m loving this series, the werewolves are hot and very gentle, plus they know how to share, but the best part is following them finding their mate and making her fall in love with both of them at the same time.

This time we follow Dera discovering a different relationship with both Gowan and Maitho. These two are great at everything and they can even cook, can you imagine. I liked Dera, but I loved the Gowan and Maitho a little more. She’s a nice girl and very sure of herself, she doesn’t let them push her and she knows her limits, but the guys took forever to invite her for their first date and she was already halfway in love with them.

Loved their second, the guys were perfect, with the food, the clothes and even the different musics.

Summary:

When club-hopping bad girl Tiara Kent is found dead in her plush Manhattan apartment, the killing has all the earmarks of a vampire attack. The ever-practical Lieutenant Eve Dallas has to deal with superstitious cops carrying garlic and stakes, as well as the ever-hysterical press. None of the wealthy young victim’s friends seem to know much about the Dark Prince she has been secretly seeing. The chase to stop him before he kills again will lead Eve and her team into areas of the city that not even the most intrepid cop wants to visit, and into the very heart of darkness.

Now Magdelana Percell – there’s someone Eve can picture as a murder victim. Possibly at Eve’s own hands. The slinky blonde – an old flame of her billionaire husband, Roarke, from his days on the wrong side of the law – has turned up in New York, and she’s anything but innocent. Unfortunately, Roarke seems blind to Magdelana’s manipulation, but not to her shapely figure and flirtatious ways. And he insists that the occasional lunch or business meeting with her is nothing to worry about;and none of Eve’s business. Eve’s so unnerved by the situation that she finds it hard to focus on the Foster case. Still, she’ll have to put aside her anger, jealousy, and heartbreak, for a while at least – because another man has just turned up dead, and the case is taking some strange turns and hitting some frustrating dead ends.

Eve knows all too well that innocence can be a façade. Keeping that in mind may help her solve this case at last. But it may also tear apart her marriage.

Review:

This was a darker story because Eve had to deal with a murderer very close to what her father once was and this made her remember those moments of terror from her childhood. I liked the different setting and this time the story was fast and brutal, because we can see how much Eve is trying to close the case, but circumstances are always in the middle. I liked the way Roarke was by her side in this case, even McNab helped a little.

Summary:

Dez wasn’t just Jasmine’s crush. A gargoyle Warden like Jas, he helped her come to terms with her destiny—fending off demons and maintaining balance between good and evil. He was her everything…right until the moment he disappeared without a trace. It didn’t help that Jas’s father had just announced that she and Dez would one day be mated. Hard not to take that personally.

And now he’s back, three years older, ten times hotter, ready to pick up exactly where they left off. But Jas isn’t taking that risk again. Dez has seven days to meet all her conditions and earn back her trust. Seven days filled with terrifying danger and sweet temptation. Seven days to win her heart—or shatter it all over again…

Review:

I decided to read this novella closer to the release of the first book, because if I liked the waiting would be smaller. But this couple was cute and they made a great adventure together. I liked knowing more about Dez and even some of the stories behind this world.

For me the best part was that Justine and Dez knew each other for years, so in reality they were half in love before the mating. Dez needed to share more about his disappearing act, but their time together was really nice.

This was just a prequel but I really liked the way some of the information was shared. This is a completely different story and I loved the gargoyles, they are fun and very normal, after this first glimpse of the new world, I have to say Jennifer caught me again.
