Review: Sought by Evangeline Anderson

Sought (Brides of the Kindred, #3)

Kat O’Connor is no pushover. She’s a no nonsense girl with a commonsense approach to life. But there’s nothing common about what’s happening to her lately…
First she was forced to have a kinky mind ménage with two of the hottest and most irritating men in the galaxy—Twin Kindred warriors, Deep and Lock—in order to locate her kidnapped friend. Then she couldn’t get their feelings out of her head. And now she’s on her way to their home planet, Twin Moons, to find a cure for the debilitating illness their unorthodox joining caused, when all she really wants to do is go home.
Locks Tight, the light twin of the two, is already in love with Kat. Her curvy plus-sized body is the epitome of beauty on his home planet and her sharp mind makes her doubly attractive. But though he fell for her the moment he saw her, Twin Kindred are unable to mate a woman alone. Lock knows nothing can happen between them without his brother…
Stabs Deep. The dark twin has a secret agony in his past—a tragedy he feels he and he alone is to blame for. He too, hungers for Kat, but he hides his fear of rejection behind an impenetrable wall of angry sarcasm. For if he lets anyone get too close, the unbearable pain he has already endured once may happen again.
Now Kat and her twin warriors are on a quest—but they’re all looking for different things. Kat wants to find a way to dissolve the half-formed bond between them so she can be alone in her own head again. Lock wants to convince both her and his brother to complete the bond which will keep them together forever. And Deep is trying to protect his heart and love Kat from afar…though it grows more and more difficult to deny the hunger he feels for her growing inside him.
Their travels will take them from the uncharted wilds of Twin Moons to the Deadworld of the Scourge home planet. Will Kat find a cure for having other people’s emotions crowding her mind? Will Lock convince his brother and the woman they both love that they’re all meant to be together forever? And will Deep ever unshield his heart long enough to let Kat in?
You’ll have to read Sought, the third book in the Brides of the Kindred series, to find out…

Third book in the Brides of the Kindred and this time we have Lock and Deep search for love and salvation for Kat. We’ve met them all in previous books, so this series is definitely better to understand if we follow the order. Especially since the reason Kat needs medical attention is because of some problems solved on book two.

And as is common with this series we got to met Lauren and All Father found her in earth after years of search for the perfect women with a signal. It seams like she’s related to Liv and Sophia. For a moment the Scourge was winning and they had a ready female that could give birth to the new generation. But Xairn is hearing about all those nice things in Earth and he’s really not that bad as his father.

I do love some spicy alien story and this one was a really hot one starting with healing touches and more sex than ever. Did I mention Kat is bonded with twin brothers than love her body and pleasure her? So double penetration is the key in this book. And Kat is very afraid of double vaginal, but the girl made a mistake and ate too much Bonding fruit, works like KY, and now her twin lovers are all over her. I just think it took too long for them to actually be together without all the problems and bond issues.

I liked the fact we were introduced to Lauren in this book and could understand her relationship with Xairn better. I believe he is a Kindred but that will only be explained on the next book. It was really interesting to see him fighting emotions and learning how to deal with a woman.

Sophia Waterhouse has always been afraid of needles and vampires so there’s no way she wants anything to do with a modern day Count Dracula—even if he does come wrapped in the package of a huge Kindred warrior with blond hair and ice blue eyes. She’s only on the Kindred Mothership to participate in her sister Liv’s wedding and that’s all.
Sylvan is a Tranq Kindred who has made a sacred vow never to call a bride. After a devastating rejection on his home planet, his heart is a block of ice no one can melt—or so he thinks until he meets Sophia.
When their ship is forced down in the middle of a rugged mountain range Sophia and Sylvan are stranded. Running for their lives they have only each other to depend on. Will they give in to the intense attraction between them or will the evil hunting Sophia take its toll?

This was a very long book and it follows Claimed story. We met Sophia and Sylvan during Liv and Baird claiming period and now these two are getting married and all hell broke lose once the bad guys decided to kidnap Sophia thinking she can save them from destruction.

Pretty insane right, but I love an alien erotica and this series is good in delivering the hotness. These guys are warriors and they chosen one female to spent the rest of their life with.

But that not how things starter for Sophia and Sylvan. He was denied once during a claiming period and now chose to live as a eunuch, but his goddess has other ideas and made him feel really hot while close to Sophia, but she has no idea of anything happening because she’s just a human and is just now learning the Kindred rules.

Sylvan is like a vamp and needs to suck blood from his Bride to perform the claiming, but Sophia was once abused and has issues with any kind of male, plus these two are hiding and running from the hounds.

I liked this book and even enjoyed the Sylvan and Sophie problems for a bit, bit these two are too dumb to mess with. They had no idea what was happening half the time and even if Sylvan passed through this once, he just can’t believe it’s happening. Hello you are a male and close to a pretty woman, we both know what happens.

But I liked that we got to see more of the other stories and the author started explaining more of the Kindred’s home planet.

Olivia Waterhouse has just graduated from nursing school and has her whole life ahead of her—until she gets drafted. Problem is, she isn’t being forced into the Army, she’s been chosen as a Kindred bride.
The Kindred are huge alien warriors—a race of genetic traders whose population is ninety-five percent male. After saving Earth from the threat of invasion they demand a reward—the right to find brides among the population. The chances of being chosen are about the same as those of winning the lottery—guess it’s just Liv’s lucky day.
Baird is a Beast Kindred who recently escaped imprisonment and torture at the hands of the malevolent Scourge. Through the torment and pain only one thing kept him sane—the thought of finding and claiming his bride—Olivia. His need to possess her is a burning intensity that threatens to consume them both.
Angry at having her future and her family taken away from her, Liv vows to fight back the only way she can—by resisting. She has one month on the Kindred Mothership with Baird—their claiming period. If she can keep from having bonding sex with him during that time, she can go home and get on with her life on Earth.
But Baird isn’t going to make it easy for her. Every week he is allowed to touch Liv more and more intimately and according to the contract she signed, she has to let him. She’s determined to resist him but his touch sets her on fire. And just as she thinks she knows what she wants, a twist of fate and an attack by the faceless Scourge AllFather changes everything…

I like a good alien book and this one was really interesting since the start. The Earth was being attacked by some dark and bad aliens when the Kindred decided to come for the rescue and saved the day, but they also wanted one thing. A Trade. The wanted women, because their race is 95% made of men and since they’re humanoid. It’s a win-win and the government said yes.

Years since that and we have Baird meeting his bride, Liv. The thing is nobody actually knows what happens in their ship, because no women ever returned complaining, actually they never return period. There’s a month of the claiming period while the Kindred can do lots of dirty things with their bride and after that let’s just say she’s fully satisfied.

Baird was captured by the dark side and spent six months being tortured but while there he’s mind found Liv and they spent the sleeping hours exchanging informations about their lives. Liv had no idea he was a Kindred and didn’t knew her dreams were actually true.

So one day Baird escaped he’s prison and came to Earth to find he’s bride. That’s were the story starts with us following Liv and Baird during their claiming period. It’s interesting because Liv promised her twin sister that she would never surrender and wasn’t going to bond with the Kindred because her life was on Earth being a nurse and helping save people.

So Baird does everything in his power to show Liv they are great together and how much he loves her. He’s really romantic and tries to cook on her first night on the ship, but he’s restless and every day he also tries to seduce her. Plus he has some pheromones that helps to attract her.

The book was really good and these aliens were romantic and brave to the extreme. Some naughty parts were present, aliens know how to seduce a girl.
