My Thoughts:

The five stories inspired by the fairy tales and I thought it was very fun to discover the characters actually have the same traits to the classics.

First story is about Cindy and all she wants in life is the perfect Jiminy Shoes, so she works at a hotel and when her stepmother refuses to bring her along to the trunk sale, all that she can count on is luck and the best pair ever.

Second is about Red, a girl trying to make her health-food bakery stays open but one night she discovers that her grandmother is being attacked by Jack Wolff. This one was very funny.

Third story is Belle and she trying to save her father work after he had a stroke. So she decides to take a job from Prince Maxim and she does more than just his library. Because this prince tries hard to be left in shadows.

Fourth is Snow story and all she wants is a role in a musical but her stepmother needs someone to take care of the seven kids from a millionaire.

Fifth is Goldie story and she’s a artist with no place to live that decides to crash in an apartment after her dog-sitting duties, but she didn’t count with the owner coming home before schedule.

My Thoughts:

There are five stories set in Cape Cod, the first is about a couple that broke the engagement a couple days before the wedding and this is the first time they actually see each other after one year of that date. The best part of this story is the family and how they decided to help those two to get back together.

The second story is about a girl that for the first time is proud o her body after years being over weight and now she’s out in the beach trying to discover how to flirt and how to accept her new body. Of course there’s a new boo interested in her too.

The third is the better of them all and is about four girls that studied together through high school and for the first time they are all single and enjoying the party, but there’s a boy, a womanizer and he’s sexy, but only has eyes for one of the girls.

Four story is about an actor that made a teen film awhile ago and now can’t find a new job on the scenes without people remembering that faithful movie. But one day he wakes up washed out on the beach and a girl saves his life. That’s how everything changes and now he’s the new celebrity trying to find the right part.

Fifth story is about a basketball player that falls for the poor girl instead of the goddesses that are trying to get his attention. He’s super sweet and she thinks he’s only after some summer fling.

Marnie James has been divorced for a short time and don’t want to be dumped again so she never been on a date after being single again. But everything changes when she meets a hot single daddy at her daughter’s Halloween party.

But there’s a catch, he’s only looking for fun! So while starting a new carrier she discover that have a date can be fun, especially after they keep meeting on different places at all time.

Very fun story that shows all the perks for going out after a disappointment.

Holiday Rush

Lindy Richards is trying to be all glamorous in her life, she has the perfect job as a manger on a chick boutique, but when her tights suffered a disaster encounter with the car door, she decided to jump on Save Land for a quick exchange and continue on her way to a blind date.

There’s a problem, she caught stuck on the changing room after closing time and worst of all, since she never managed to show on her date neither at home, her roommate called the police as missing person.

but when she was found on Save Land everything on her life changed upside down and I was really sad for her, but Lindy is very strong and managed to make the best of it all.

Missing Christmas

Ginny is starting to feel homesick after moving from her family home with her boyfriend for another state. Everything is great for him, but she doesn’t have a job yet and is really boring stay at home on Christmas.

Her family has a Christmas tradition and for her to miss everything and stay home alone is even harder. Her boyfriend is great and was so sweet and understanding with her that makes this a sad and sweet story.

When he made the perfect Christmas for her and tried to make her see that everything could be perfect if they learned to change some habits.

Tingle All The Way

Jessica lost her mother close to Christmas when she was no more than a baby and after that everything was different. Her father didn’t celebrate so she never really bought all those happy memories that her friends speak about. But when a stranger trying to break in her neighbor window Christmas Eve and Jessica finds herself stuck with strange feelings toward a kids beliefs on Santa Klaus.

I liked this story especially because Jessica is Lindy’s sister (from Holiday Rush) and when can two different POVs from the same memory. Also the stranger helped a lot on Jessica search for the perfect Christmas.

Giving Up Guys

This story is about a group of friends, actually Ginny friends (from Missing Christmas). There are three girls tired from guys and their bad relationships so on New Years Eve they made a promise to don’t have a date until Valentines Day. To make all more easier they also decided to learn new things.

So Claire decides to learn Scuba diving but after a few lessons she gets dumped from class for not knowing how to properly swim and takes consolation on a bar. Every week she goes and meet a sweet bartender.

Lori takes upholstery class and suddenly finds herself with feelings for the sexy teacher, so they start to date, even if is “against” the rules. He doesn’t know about the promise.

Harper takes the easy way and joins belly dancing class, since no man ever learns this, she finds it easier than everything else, but what she doesn’t know is that this time there’s a man in class, because of a bet. And they started some private lessons, but no dates, because he knew about the promise.

The best part is when the girls meet on Valentines. Best story of the book for me.

So they made a bet, if Jane doesn’t have a date on the end of two weeks, she wins a t-shirt, for the bet works they go out several times and it’s really fun to what him squirt with excuses for the guys.

Wrong Place, Right Guy

She’s at the wrong place at the wrong time.

Kristen Gold was being robbed and almost sexually attacked when Tony Malone saves her. And after that Kristen start having feelings for him, problem is he’s an ex-con and everybody tells her to back off.

The story is very interesting on how people judge others basically on past actions and after knowing his family is absolutely wrong how they treat him.

Kristen is a nice girl and discovered the perfect guy to play hero on a parking lot. Love can happen anywhere right?

Not You

One night with a stranger…gets even stranger the next day.

Carly was sad because her mother was marrying for the third time and she didn’t found yet someone to love that could love her back, so for the first time she decides to have an one night stand, but the day after was hilarious.

Rob, the guy she hook up was her new stepbrother and worst of all, she still had lusty feelings for him.

This was another story with an interesting subject, knowing those two were brothers, and still trying to discover a way to be together and tell everyone about it.

Desperately Seeking Cupid

Does she have the formula for finding love?

Brianna Keller is trying to accept that she has six weddings to go and no date to take whit her. So when a older woman offer to feng shui her apartment for the love bagua, she take it.

And after discovering that some shopping is required she meets the handsome and a bit slow Zach Johnson, owner of the shop where she buys new memorabilia.

I loved how the two of them liked each other but still had some problems to express their feelings making all those “not dates” even more fun.

Never Been Dumped

It’s a relationship with an expiration date…and it’s going to go bad.

Rachel Miller can have every guy but the problem is when they fall in love is even more difficult to get ride of them. Is not that she’s using them, they just not the one, so after bad break ups, she decided to stay single for awhile, but her best friend keep trying to set her up.

One night when she was waiting for her friend in a bar  and shooing guys, she met Drake Johnson and he was funny and handsome. Plus he promised to dump her in the end of summer because he was going away and don’t do long distance relationship.

Perfect guy, right? Things were not so perfect when both discovered that feelings were stronger than they should be. Overall it was a very romantic story, especially when Drake decided to take them slow and show Rachel that man could be different.
