Paranormal Review: Human and Freakn’ by Eve Langlais

Human and Freakn' (Freakn' Shifters, #4)

Trekking through the jungle isn’t Ruth’s idea of a good time, even if her companions are hotter than hell. With her sister missing, though, she’ll do anything to find her – slog through swamps, squish giant centipedes, and fight her attraction to not one but two males intent on seduction. But when she discovers there’s more to the hunks accompanying her than meets the eye, will she accept their alter wolf egos, or completely freak?
Fate sure has a wicked sense of humor, trying to make Kendrick think the chubby human he meets in the jungle is his mate. Joke’s on him, though, because despite his preferences and attempts to stay away, he can’t help but fall for the tall and curvy Ruth. Harder to swallow, his buddy is falling for her too.
Joel knows firsthand how fickle human emotions are, but when he meets Ruth, all his best intentions get swallowed by the jungle as she worms her way into his heart – and makes him want to trust.
When Ruth’s human morals get in the way of two wolves and their need to claim what’s theirs, they’ll have to team up and show her two are so much more pleasurable than one.
Warning: Can you handle a pair of hot wolves determined to claim an unsuspecting human? Expect extreme heat and a whole lot of fun in this threesome, jungle adventure. (MFM)

Advice:

Due to its strong sexual content, this novel is recommended for readers older than 18.

The last book released and now we got to see Kendrick falling in love. It’s really interesting to watch the males of this family accepting the mating and discovering way to late that life became better they found love. Another part is Joel fighting against his instincts because Ruth is a human. He had a bad childhood after his mother left and didn’t accepted the mating bond. So now is like fate is playing with his emotions because he found his mate in a human.

But the best part was the journey and Ruth suffered a lot in the jungle, but everything was worth it after she finally found her sister and got herself two mates. That I believe was the best part of her travel. Ruth always thought of herself as fat and never got a boyfriend because she can’t believe a guy is actually wanting her so after she realized those two perfect abs were actually after forever things got a little different and the insecurities took the best of her.

In the end everything was perfect but I liked this book was a little different in the setting and the female was more “normal”.

Jungle Freakn' Bride (Freakn' Shifters, #3.5)

Warning: Hot, steamy threesomes, chauvinism and more are running wild in the jungle. Can you handle the heat?
Abducted by a pair of hunky, tribal warriors, Carlie doesn’t think things can get any stranger until the first time she purrs.
Everyone’s heard of the mysterious Moon Ghost Jaguars, supposed shapeshifting men who steal women as their brides. What they forgot to mention was that half naked, ripped and oh so delicious, they always came as a pair – and turned into really big freakn’ cats! But Carlie’s not about to let these furry Tarzan’s dictate her future, even if they seem to have conquered her body.
Acat didn’t think he wanted a mate until he came across the outspoken American with golden hair. Making her his bride is only part of the battle. With the help of his best friend, Chaob, can he find a way to convince this strong willed woman to follow the traditions of his tribe? Or will this reluctant jungle bride get her lovers to accept the fact she’ll never be a classic barefoot and pregnant mate?

Advice:

Due to its strong sexual content, this novel is recommended for readers older than 18.

I actually liked this book, but compared to the others in this series, it’s just not that good. Don’t get me wrong we have the freakn’ shifters and a woman dealing with the mating fever, but this time there’s no character familiar and Carlie changed to a cat like her suitors. It was actually more different and I thought this could be part of a spin-off series.

I liked Carlie and Chaob, they are very normal people and try to life without the rules Acat has to follow, but after seeing his grandfather is kinda of difficult to understand why he has so many neurosis. I liked the relationship between these shifters and the fact that a curse is actually responsible for the mating between two shifters and a human, but didn’t understood why it’s necessary to change the human in the first place. I think Carlie would be just fine without all the pain and almost death.

I read this book in order of the series and I should have read after book four because it would explain better some parts.

Paranormal Review: Already Freakn’ Mated by Eve Langlais

Already Freakn' Mated (Freakn' Shifters, #3)

Advice:

Due to its strong sexual content, this novel is recommended for readers older than 18.

This book was a little different than I hoped from the title. When I first read the feeling it was one woman and two males, but after I started it was clear that this was a normal relationship between two shifters and I was a bit disappointed, because I loved the drama a poliamorous brought on the previous books.

Chris is Naomi brother and we can see that every brother is finding their happily ever after, but this time things were a bit more disturbing because at first Chris thought he had fallen for a married woman, but only after pursuing her he actually learned the true and things are way more complicated than just a wedding because Sheng is actually running from a maniac human that kidnaped her family and wants to sell her.

This was actually a darker story than the previous and I liked the suspense and action, but the relationship was like a second and very little part of this book. I was hoping for me romance, but the heating thing was more fast than that.

And we actually have two couples mating in this book, because the married couple found their pairs in this strange family, so Chris cousin also found her mate. It was nice that both found happiness, but the leading couple lost a bit of shining moments.

Paranormal Review: Jealous and Freakn’ by Eve Langlais

Jealous And Freakn' (Freakn' Shifters, #2)

Francine’s loved Mitchell, a wolf like herself, since she first set eyes on him back when they were just kids. However, Mitchell’s never seen her as more than another annoying sister. Determined to make him realize she’s all grown up, she enlists the aide of Alejandro, a gorgeous cat shifter. She never counted on wanting them both.
Alejandro knows Francine is special from the first moment he meets the fiery plump wolf, which is why he suggests she use him to make Mitchell jealous. A great plan, especially if it means getting to kiss those luscious lips. One taste though, and he’s addicted, but how does he make her see past the man she loves to realize she’s also meant to be his mate.
For a long time now Mitchell’s been running from Francine, certain she’s mistaken that their destiny’s lie together. However, the little girl he remembers is all grown up, and when he sees her in the arms of another, a need to claim her overrides all his common sense. But, he’s waited too long and fate has decided that he’s going to have to share. Can he bend enough to accept Francine and another man, or will his jealousy keep him freakn’?

Advice:

Due to its strong sexual content, this novel is recommended for readers older than 18.

It was just me or this book was a little crazy? Because came on we all know it’s possible for a freakn’ to find their mate and have to share it, so explain why Mitchell was so intense and dramatic the whole book, when he could had done the right thing a long time ago and had her all to himself?

So I wasn’t really a fan of Mitchell for said reason and the way he kept fighting his wolf, when everyone always listen to their animal when things are screwed. But Mitchell was worse because he kept treating her like she was insane for even suggesting the mating thing, since they were kids, hello?

I liked Alejandro, actually loved him and the way he treated Francine. she definitely deserved a guy worshiping her after Mitchell bad behavior. Alejandro is actually Javier brother, from the first book and it was nice having a connection with other shifters, because we can see the world is not only this little town.

Between those two I think Alejandro was the best mate, because he was always thinking about Francine and doing the right thing, because Mitchell even after the mating kept trying to fight and didn’t really handled a relationship like an adult.

Paranormal Romance: Delicate Freakn’ Flower by Eve Langlais

Delicate Freakn' Flower (Freakn' Shifters, #1)

Dammit, just how many toes was she going to have to stomp on before people realized she was a Delicate Freakn’ Flower?
Naomi doesn’t want to follow tradition and settle down with a violence-loving, chest thumping shapeshifter. She grew up in a household with five, testosterone laden brothers where none of the dishes ever matched, the ugly-as-sin furniture could withstand any catastrophe, and where crazy glue was bought by the case.
When fate—with a snicker—makes her meet not one, but two mates, Naomi digs her heels in and refuses to do what her wolf—and her body—demands. No way is she voluntarily allowing herself to get hitched to a pair of dumbass—totally hot and muscled—lacrosse players.
Can Ethan, the towering Kodiak bear, and Javier, the sexy, tanned jaguar convince this she-wolf that life with them won’t be all chaos? And can this delicate freakn’ flower unbend her prejudices enough to recognize she needs a pair of men who can handle her thorns—and her passion?
Warning: this is a hot threesome story where all the focus is on her with pleasurable consequences.

Advice:

Due to its strong sexual content, this novel is recommended for readers older than 18.

This is not my first book from Eve, but I realized after reading this one that her werewolves are super hilarious. It was fun and super hot following Naomi and her two mates. They are all shapeshifters, but each one is a different animal. I especially liked the bear shifter, it’s so fun seeing these other animals and how much they are still feared, even in this different society.

I liked Ethan, the bear, he’s more quiet and has a little fear of the people reactions because he’s so strong and is difficult to settle in, but Javier on the other end, is super fun and loving with sassy words and more than enough sexiness to share. They have shared woman before, but they are one hundred percent straight. It’s amazing the way Ethan discovered his mate and Javier went along for the ride just to she the special girl, discovering that she was her mate too.

I liked the fact these two did not fight over the mating deal and were even okay with the poliamourous relationship, the only one with a problem was Naomi, because she was the youngest and wanted a quiet and normal relationship with an human, just to escape the insane family of her. She thinks all shifters are like her family fighting everyday and destroying the house, but Ethan and Javier are different and they needed a week to show Naomi how right their relationship would be. I really liked I really liked this family and this series has so much potential.
