I had high expectations for this book and it was a nice and fast read for me, but for some reason just not that perfect. I liked Annelise and really cheered for her, but the lack of vampires showing was a huge factor for me.

 

Don’t get me wrong there are some vampires in this book and some very dangerous parts too, but it was strange the fact Annelise needed to train so hard and the vamps didn’t really showed disapprove or something, because she was really bad in some things.

 

I get that she’s smart and has a really strong brain, but I was hoping for more vampires scenes like her first day in the island. Because it felt like the vamp are either to lazy or they simply don’t exist in high number.

 

Right now I don’t think I want to read the next book, but it does sound like there’s more vampires showing, so that’s a plus.
