This was s prequel to the shadow falls series and the fact I liked most was this short story was about Della, the vampire and she discovered her cousin was still alive but living a different life and worst of all he turned her without meaning to.

I liked Della and seeing how she struggled to accepted this new reality and still live with her parents was really unsettling, in the end we can see she was never truly happy and her life took a 180 turn, but not all bad.
