Book Blurb:

As the demolitions expert for A-Tac, a black-ops CIA unit masquerading as Ivy League faculty, Tyler Hanson has two great loves: literature and explosives. She lives by the motto "Duty First" and doesn’t have time for personal attachments . . . until a steamy one-night stand turns into a professional partnership.

BURNED BY BETRAYAL

When Tyler meets Owen Wakefield, a handsome British operative, she seduces him with no intention of ever seeing him again. But then the sexy Brit is brought into A-Tac, and despite Tyler’s efforts to keep her distance, she finds herself falling for him. Trusting him.

Owen seems too good to be true – and he is. He’s hiding his true motives and identity, and no matter how he feels about Tyler, he can’t keep her secrets. One of A-Tac’s members has turned traitor and helped terrorists to hijack a shipment of nuclear weapons. As witnesses start dying and evidence starts disappearing, Owen and Tyler must race to find the mole – and prevent a final, cataclysmic act of destruction.

My Thoughts:

I loved the first two in this series and it’s amazing how much the characters grew in this one, the most action paced so far and everyday had a different attack usually targeting Tyler.

I started this series and I’m also following the characters as they show in each book, because they are a team, and in most missions they stay together. Tyler was constant on the previous books, because she is an expert in bombs. She a dangerous women and we get to see a softer side of her in this book, not only for the romance but also because her family was attacked and she was the scape goat.

Owen was not what I expected, but he grew on me as the book progressed. I was waiting for Tyler to have a stiff guy as the romance target, but boy I was wrong and the author completely changed my point of view and put an armed and dangerous guy to help and guide Tyler through this mission.

I loved as always and I see the author giving the characters more life in each book.

Book Blurb:

After spending years in prison under deep cover, black ops agent Tucker Flynn joins A-Tac, an elite CIA unit masquerading as faculty at an Ivy League college. Nothing can shake him-except a vulnerable young woman marked for death.

DUAL DECEPTION

When Tucker is assigned to protect-and secretly investigate-Alexis Markham, he expects a routine mission. But this mysterious beauty has a past even darker than his: her father created a horrifying new biochemical weapon-and was murdered to keep it secret.

Alexis has spent the last decade racing to stay one step ahead of the shadowy operatives who will stop at nothing to possess her father’s formula. She can trust no one, not even her handsome new bodyguard. But the heat that flares between them is impossible to resist. Will giving in to passion bring her the safety she’s always craved, or will her love for Tucker draw him into a killer’s sights?

My Thoughts:

This book was the reason that first started to read this series. I requested this one on NetGalley and when I finished the first chapter I realized that it was #4 on a series, so a put him back on the TBR pile and went in search for the others.

I love the suspense in this series and the spies that also teach on the university is unique, so far that reason alone I decided to give this a chance and I not disappointed.

This is Tucker book and we first me him on Dangerous Desires, while he was being saved and brought back for the death. Now he’s helping A-Tac and following Alexis because retirement is boring.

I liked Alexis and especially liked the plot for this book. Is full of secrets and the government is the middle, there are mercenaries, chemistry products, lies, all put together in a very orchestrated way.

But I didn’t like the principal characters together, for me they just don’t mix well. Plus we finally discovered who is selling A-Tac secrets and tried to kill several members. Not how I had thought.

Book Blurb:

As the extractions expert for A-Tac, an elite CIA black ops unit masquerading as faculty at an Ivy League college, Drake Flynn knows how to survive behind enemy lines. But he’s about to meet one adversary he can’t subdue . . . or resist.

A RACE FOR SURVIVAL

Stranded in the Colombian jungle after a mission goes bad, Drake has only one objective: evade the mercenaries hot on his trail and deliver “the package” to U.S. officials. But “the package” has a mind of her own, and she has no intention of trading one set of captors for another. Madeline Reynard is beautiful, headstrong, and hell-bent on escape after years as a crime lord’s pawn. She’ll risk everything for freedom, even if it means deceiving the dark, handsome soldier who now holds her life in his hands.

Drake has been burned too many times to let a woman manipulate him, especially a secretive one like Madeline. Even so, they cannot deny the attraction between them. Now as enemy forces close in, Drake and Madeline must trust each other with their lives—or face certain death.

My Thoughts:

I love special ops kinda book and this series was a great one. Because they actually have a double life since all agents are professors in a university. Different, right? But the book is still about a lot of action and there’s also some romance and each agent get their HEA with some “special” lady.

This book is for Drake and he’s one of the most alpha characters that I’ve met so far. So it was kinda fun to watch him fall for Madeline simply because he thought she was a bad person. There’s also a more complicated book them the rest since the story doesn’t end when he gets her to a safe place and they actually have to save another person but for this Drake has to believe in Madeline and she kinda is not the best person to put your trust on.

There’s also a spy in the group since book one it continues to try stop them to actually finish the mission. And it’s hard for them to investigate this because they are all friends and one of them is selling their secrets and they could all die for this.

I liked the chemistry between Drake and Madeline. He thinks she’s a nothing more than a prostitute when in reality she was being black mailed and he gets really surprise when the truth came up. She was trying to save her sister and ended up in the middle of a drug cartel, so the only way out is with Drake help.

They decides to scape through the jungle after some plans fall apart and she is more than just a pretty girl. Drake makes this book be really good and the plot was great. There were some changes along the way that I wasn’t expecting, but the story ended up with more than just a happy ending for those two.

Book Blurb:

Davis delivers the first installment in an action-packed, sensual, romantic suspense series featuring the operatives of A-Tac, an elite CIA unit masquerading as faculty at an Ivy League college.

TORN BETWEEN DUTY AND DESIRE

Covert operations expert Nash Brennon has spent the last eight years trying to forget Annie Gallagher, his former field partner and the only woman he ever loved. Annie betrayed him when he needed her most, then vanished without a trace. Now suddenly she’s back in the game – this time as a suspected traitor and threat to national security.

Annie’s son has been kidnapped by political terrorists. The price for his life? Assassinate a UN ambassador. When Nash and his group find her, the smoldering passion between Annie and the man she swore she’d never contact again blazes out of control. But can Nash trust her? The stakes couldn’t be higher: Their enemy’s endgame is personal, and one false move could cost them their lives.

My Thoughts:

First book in this series about agents. This one brings Nash Brennon and Annie Gallagher trying to get through some terrorism and a dark past. Eight years ago they used to work together and be a couple, but Annie decided to stop working and Nash though she had betrayed and left him to die.

The book setting is now, Annie is forced to start a mission against an UN ambassador to just to save her son, that has been kidnapped or else he’s going to be killed.
But what she doesn’t know is that Nash and the rest of the A-Tac are aware of the danger against the ambassador and start working to discover and prevent it. But since she left him, Nash doesn’t believe when Annie tells him her reasons. So she’s forced to work with the A-Tac to try and save her son without killing the ambassador and destroy the terrorist cell.

I first received the forth book on this series and after some pages, discovered that it was amazing. There’s investigation, some love also a bit of action, sine they are agents. But the best part for me is the fact that they work as professor for a college and it shows some real life despise all the dark side of fighting the evil. Loved it.
