Sparks fly when a project brings a heartbreaker back to town and into the path of the woman he left behind. He’s determined to win her over in the boardroom … and the bedroom!

Review:

I know this is a novella, but the story felt a little too rushed for me. Jake wanted the girl back the moment he saw her again, but they never really discussed the reason he never came back, so for me it was strange the way Annabelle just accepted him back after ten years.

I liked Annabelle and her sister, it was fun the moment in the restaurant too, but Jack was a workaholic that realise he missed the girl for ten years and now he has to have her. The romance was missing in the conversations, but I liked the sex, even if it was way too fast.

Summary:

This soldier’s the perfect hoax…if she doesn’t fall for him first.

Stats whiz Kayla Moriarity knows her way around numbers and algorithms. Men, on the other hand, are unsolvable equations. Now Kayla’s en route to her sister’s wedding—alone and without the fictional boyfriend she invented for her family. Fortunately, her plane comes complete with complimentary cocktails and a ridiculously hot ex-marine in the seat beside her. And that’s all it takes for Kayla’s inhibitions to go sailing out the airlock…

Cooper Shillings has soft spot for people in trouble, but he certainly wasn’t expecting to land in it himself—and definitely not while getting naughty mid-air with a sexy southern belle. When he hears Kayla’s predicament, however, he offers his services as a stand-in boyfriend. After all, he’s heading overseas soon…and how could he refuse a little no-strings wickedness?

It’s the perfect plan. And all Kayla has to do is ensure her family falls for the ultimate bluff, without falling for it—and Cooper—in the process…

Photobucket

Review:

This was such a fun book to read and the best part was how perfect Kayla and Cooper made as a couple. I was happy to get this book because the story sounded cute and fun, plus I’ve read a few of Diane books before and she makes damaged military men with lots to forgive and forget.

I was laughing almost the entire book. Kayla is such a cute dorky girl, she knows all the numbers for different situations and she was super nervous about flying, Cooper being the knight decided to save the damsel and distract her during the flight, the best part is the fact he paid 300 bucks just to upgrade to first class. I loved Kayla’s family and the way Cooper handled everything was nice, the guy does know how to talk to women.

Loved the first book and will look out for the next one in this series.

Photobucket

Review:

This was such a cute town, it feels like Fool’s Gold from Susan Mallery, with lots of nosy neighbours and romance is bubbling in Passion Creek. I loved Kira and Max was just as likable. He didnt’ made a mistake those years ago, but was a little oblivious to the way Kira was shutting from life, this is a story of reconnection and these two can understand the reasons between their problems those years ago.

I did not like the way Kira grandmother decided to push these to together, it worked but was strange too. I loved the fact both are artists and how much Kira helped Max push those inspirations to the paper. They have such a good chemistry together and both deserved a nice change and hapiness. Loved metting this town and Bev.

Summary:

Lizzie Kent needs to forget the past. She lives in total anonymity, immersing herself in nursing to help her forget. But when a man from her previous life turns up in her clinic, the life she’s tried to create for herself may come toppling down.

Ash knows what he wants and he wants Lizzie, the girl who left him all those years ago. As Hollywood’s greatest action superstar no one says no to him, but when Lizzie refuses to acknowledge their shared past, he has to resort to a little old fashioned blackmail.

Will Lizzie revisit her past to enable her future with the man she loves, or do old wounds run too deep?

Photobucket

Review:

I liked the couple, we can see from their first encounter all the sparks flying, but I did not liked the way Ash just wanted Lizzie to accept things. Lizzie suffered a lot and her family never treated well, she wanted love and Ash was the only one to really understand her in those moments years ago, but now he sounds like all those playboys from Hollywood that only care for theselves.

I liked the changes he showed during the time Lizzie spend in his house. But he didn’t showed a difference from all those others actors until the last second. I wanted to like him more, because Lizzie had a very difficult life and deserved someone to love her completely, but Ash didn’t showed that much love, more like passion.

Summary:

When a case of mistaken identity puts Cade Tucker in the wrong place at the right time, he can’t believe his luck. Drawn to the beautiful Julia McCormack, he flirts his way into her bed and they welcome the New Year together.

Though they agreed their time together was no-strings-attached, first-name only, Julia’s having a hard time letting go of the best sex she ever had. She dives into work at her corporate law firm, hoping to get her mind off the man who rocked her world.

Then Julia finds out the senior partner has appointed a new attorney to work with her on her biggest case, and her co-counsel will be Cade Tucker. Her plans to make partner are in serious jeopardy when she and Cade disagree on the best legal strategy for their case, but what will happen when they can no longer fight their desire, and the company’s strict non-fraternization policy threatens both of their jobs?

Photobucket

Review:

I loved this story. Cade was the perfect Santa and we can clearly see these two were so right together. Christmas was the right setting for this novella and I loved meeting Julia. She’s fierce and a little romantic, her job is above anything else, but she found the perfect guy in Cade. Their time together was so amazing that even forbidden, they boke the rules and had another hot weekend together.

I was super cheering for the rules to change and these two have a happy ending, but in the end Cade was better than that and made the right choice. I only thing Julia needed a friend to talk about her problems in the job and with her family, she was really lonely.

Summary:

Her New Year’s resolution was seduction.

Doctor Ashley Hanes has one mission and one mission only—end her annoyingly long dry streak and ring in the New Year with a bang. Literally. When her long lost and oh-so-sexy ex-best friend, Ethan Pierce, shows up as if he hadn’t broken her heart all those years ago, suddenly she doesn’t want to bring home just any man. She wants Ethan.

What should have been one night of blow-your-mind make-up sex quickly turns into another. And another. Before long, Ashley thinks maybe she and Ethan should reunite for good. If only the elusive bachelor will stop running from his tortured past and trust a future in Ashley’s arms.

Photobucket

Review:

I love best friends becoming lovers. And this was a little hot novella with lots of sex to make up those missing years between these two. I liked Ethan but he needs to seriously change. He acts like a teenager and hates the town he grew up because the people from his high school used to bully him, but the worst part for me is the way he kept pushing Ashley away just because she kissed a guy years before. He holds a grudge for way to long.

I really loved Ashley. She suffered losing her best friend without knowing what happened, because one day he just stopped talking with her. She moved away for college and now all her dreams became true and she’s a doctor, but her father died and her mother needs constant help, so she returned home. I think she had a harder life, but made things happen. For me she deserved someone better than Ethan, someone who could think and make changes.

But I liked these two together and the way both helped heal the past. So I liked this couple after all.

Summary:

Lily Stanton’s vacation goes from bad to worse when a storm strands her in a foreign country, arguing with an arrogant—and very sexy—stranger over the last available hotel room.

Successful CEO Bruno Komarov wasn’t expecting the gorgeous woman checking in at the reception desk to challenge him over a room. Even more surprising, he actually enjoys their exchange.

But when Lily proposes a compromise—she’ll take the bed and he can sleep on the couch—Bruno pushes his attraction aside and assures himself that this can remain strictly business. After all, they’re both adults capable of keeping their hands to themselves. They’ll share the room, get a good night’s sleep, and be off to their respective destinations in the morning.

What could possibly happen in just one night?

Photobucket

Review:

When I started reading this novella had no idea it was part of a series and you can read as stand alone without a problem too. This was a nice story and I liked Lily from the start, she’s such a nice girl and needed some fun for a moment. Loved the converstaion with her sister, because we can clearly see the love and the worry her family felt for her. Bruno was a great guy actually and very hot too. So their night together was spicy, but they have more than that and it’s clear to anyone the deep understanding and love that could grow between them.

This is the second novella from this author and I’m really loving her creations. More Stanton, please.

But as their antagonistic work relationship ignites a passionate affair, Carson must decide if protecting Neil from his need for speed is the perfect outlet for her own restless desire, or if they’re on a one-way path to destruction.

Photobucket

Review:

When I started reading this book the only thing from the previous that really stuck with me  was how a very rich woman decided to raise and adopt four teenage boys and teach them to cook. They grew up and each one of them is sucessfull, but now she’s death and they are trying to manage without her, somehow they decided to live on the same city and reconnect. I barely remember the couple because I loved the plot, but somehow those two didn’t really made a great impact.

Now one thing I can say for sure is how much I loved this second book. Carson is the perfect girl and I loved her independency, but she has a problem with he father accepting her. I liked this because made her feel more human to me. Another thing that made a good impression was Neil and his brothers, they have such close relationship, but each of them still has a little room for privacy. The idea for this restaurant was really good too.

Somehow these made it work, but I don’t know why Neil still feels a little guilty over the past, when he was so young and had a lifetime to start over.

Review:

I’m loving these Entangled novellas and now they launched a new line with only fast and sweet romances. This was my first read and I loved meeting Meredith and Andrew. They are completely different people and work together, but we can clearly see that there’s more between those two than just working space. This was such a sad story, but they made it work really well. Meredith needed to let a little and enjoy life, so Andrew was perfect to introduce her into this new world and he was very understand about her pace.

Summary:

Human sexuality professor Cricket Malloy typically likes bad boys, but when buttoned-up science teacher Tucker Lamb needs help with an experiment on aphrodisiacs, she goes the extra mile to help him out. After all, what could go wrong? He’s totally harmless…

Tucker Lamb was born into a life of a grifter. He used to pride himself on his fast fingers and quicksilver tongue, but ever since being placed in the witness protection program, he’s been on the up and up. Still, something about Cricket Malloy makes him ache to see if his tongue is as fast as it used to be.

Photobucket

Review:

This was a HOT, HOT, HOT! For the number of pages I can clearly say this one burned my kindle. Cricket was a super fun girl and the best part, she’s not afraid of sharing a great night with someone. I really liked the way these two acted as grown up and decided their sexual life without embarrassment and drama, plus their test made everything more fun. Tucker for me started a little slow, but he grew in this book and there’s another story that was a bit excessive for me and strange, so the reason for the 4 stars.

Review:

This cover is extra hot so you have the right imagine of this book. It’s a tiny story and leaves a good plot for a series, this is my first Cathryn Fox novella, so I didn’t knew at first what to expect but I loved Coop! Julia took some time to warm up on me, but Coop was perfect. The romance was nice and they were already halfway in love so things jumped fast into the happily ever after land. Coop and Julia made a cute couple and now I want to see the rest of the gang, especially Jag.

Summary:

When a fellow RN jokingly predicts that Beth Roberts will meet a tall, ripped and totally lick-o-licious stranger who will fulfill her deepest desires, it’s supposed to be from across a crowded room, not giving CPR to a wedding guest. Given her tragic love life, Beth has no desire to become involved again, but who could have predicted the ponytailed doctor with the mischievous smile would break through her defenses?

Dr. Gabriel North blamed himself for his wife’s death. Now, after two years of battling guilt and meaningless hookups, he’s ready to move on. When he sees the sexy brunette at his friend’s wedding, his attraction is swift and strong, and he wastes no time in pressing his advantage. One night with the woman who makes him feel alive again isn’t enough, but gaining her trust as a man was going to take more than medical school had prepared him for.

Photobucket

Review:

This was a different story and more dramatic than the others, but I really liked seeing this couple getting a fresh start and enjoying life again. Beth is brave because after everything that happened from her previous marriage is such a dangerous thing to just pick a guy for a one night stand, but she did and I was super happy for her, Gabe was the perfect match and these two needed help getting past something dark from their past.

The sex was extra hot and I have no idea how they managed not to break the bed, but these two made a great couple. They had fun together and even managed to overcome some dramatic events from their past. I don’t know if in real life I would believe in those changes so fast, but in the book things sounded so nice.

Summary:

SHE’LL MAKE HIM A BET… Lily McIntire is sick of losing every office wager to her overly cocky—and yeah, devilishly handsome—coworker, Marcus Black. After a few too many tequila shots, and a taunt from Marcus that she’s a wuss, Lily lays down a bet he can’t refuse: One night in the abandoned and spooky Willow Mansion alone for his recent office win, a trip to Hawaii.

HE CAN’T REFUSE… There’s only one thing Marcus wants more than his upcoming vacation to Hawaii; it’s to take his sexy coworker on a real date. Every time he’s tried to get close to Lily, she’s shut him down cold. Too bad the sexual tension has hit the boiling point. Now, he’ll have to scare her out of the mansion if he has a prayer of taking her out any time soon.

UNTIL ALL BETS ARE OFF… But in between trying to scare Lily out of her pants and get his hands into them, Marcus realizes there’s more to the mansion than either of them counted on. Suddenly, it’s not just he and Lily that are going “bump in the night”.  If they manage to survive the night and escape the mansion unscathed, can they survive each other in the light of day? Or will what happens at Willow Mansion stay at Willow Mansion?

Photobucket

Review:

I liked this plot, a dare is always such a fun story, but this novella bring the sweet and hot together, because Marcus is such a nice guy, but at the same time he has a crush in Lily for a long time, the only problem is his fame of a womanizer and she wants more from a guy, especially since he works with her. I agree is dangerous for these two to start a relationship, but that night in the creepy house made them realise things could be different between them.

I really liked this story and the fun part for me was the epilogue. A chance to see the future is always nice.

Photobucket

Review by Melissa:

The “What If” Guy is the kind of book that serves on a silver platter the beauty in second chance love. And, I mean all kinds of love. Second chances with the love of your life, with family and friends from the earlier days who we long lost touch.

Autumn Cole is a single mother to Elliot who until recently, worked at an Art Gallery in Seattle. After she loses her job and knowing her father is ill, she returns to her hometown, Fairfield Washington, where she has to face her past walking around as handsome as ever.

Autumn, Elliot, Henry, Autumn’s father and every other character of this book were very easy to like and I could totally see them in my mind living in the picturesque town of Fairfield. Their personalities were what made this book shine so bright. They all could make you smile and laugh, and then make you tear up. It’s tough to get attached to them and then having to let go.

Henry and Autumn had this incredible spark between them, so sweet and untouched as if the past didn’t happen at all because the feelings were there and the years would never take them away. Still, I liked the process of getting to trust each other again and slowly getting familiar with the new things in their lives. The only thing I wasn’t much of a fan was Henry’s other girlfriend, how he managed that other relationship at the end and leaving Autumn all alone in her time of need. No phone calls or anything.

Overall, it’s worth the visit into gossipy Fairfield, Washington, where second chances are not unheard of and everyone wants to know how you’re doing in the love department. Gotta love ’em!
