Review:

I loved Vaughn D’Angelo since book one, but the best part was seeing him struggle to change Faith and make her accept this different reality full of love and emotions. She’s the second Psy to abandon the net and we can see that after Sascha left things started to become a little difficult, but Faith was very important and her work is extremely powerful. Faith can see the future and the companies hire her to predict theirs investments, but after her sister died we ca see that her visions are changing and she decided to ask for the help in the only person to survive outside the net.

I liked seeing another couple and this time was a little more difficult because Vaughn’s animal is closer to the surface after all the time he spend in animal form while growing up. But Faith for me was perfect because she’s practically fearless and trusted Vaughn to help her all the way.

Review:

This was a book to fall in love. I’ve read this two years ago and decided to join the read along to push me into finishing this series. These is one of those cases of love at first sight, because Lucas was perfect for me. Alpha, with some dark moments and really gentle. We can totally see him pushing but in the good way because Sascha needed to know this different world and trust in someone. Her family and her entire life was pretty much a lie and we see that she’s sufferenig a lot.

I loved the way he’s protective and at the same time a great guy. He’s a shifter so those senses and touches are so necessary, but the Psy are cold and Sascha had no idea that life coulld be this fullfilling. I loved meeting the rest of the pack, the sentinels and we can see they love each other very much. Tammy’s cubs are super cute. I don’t want to overshare and spoiler anyone, but this book is perfect for shifters lovers.

This series was great so far, but this book was not my favorite and for me it was mostly the fact I missed some changeling mojo. The couple was a bit too frost for my taste and I wanted to love more because Dev was such a great guy.

 

Katya was such a strong girl but in this book she lost her appeal to me and became a bit boring, but I liked the fact she fought all the way to retrieve her memories and tried to make the right thing. I just didn’t connect with her.

 

Dev was smart enough not to trust her without some precautions. I liked that about him, but he just left some sense along the book and followed her like a puppy to points deserted. Not my favorite action.

 

I liked the final. It was surprising and very different, plus the changelings are back. Just wish Councilor Ming was death already.

This book was a bit different from the rest of the series because I never thought it was possivel for two different animals to mate. Okay these two species are somewhat similar, but they have so strong personalities that it was almost impossible to see them both together without a lot of fight.

 

The world is crazier than ever and we see the seed of a revolution inside the PsyNet, but of course the councilors are trying to stop all sort of manifestation and killing anyone involved with the so called break.

 

But there’s also lots of sexy scenes and we see the beginning of a new great romance. At first it was strange how they could overcome rules and their own pact. But I actually loved these two.

 

Mercy is strong and very capable, she works directly with Lucas and is very important to the pact, but also a very alpha woman that needed a even more stronger male to surrender.

 

Riley was a very closed person and we know how much he suffered trying to save his sister. But we could discover during the book, he feels guilty for what happened and nobody knew about his secrets.

Ahh, it’s Dorian book! And I wanted him to be happy with his animal, but he’s so much better than that, he became an incredible sentinel just to prove the pact he’s strong and can be an active part off it. He deserve an incredible woman and I agree with Nalini that Ashaya is perfect to him.

 

She’s strong and a part of the revolution, she helped save children and fights everyday to keeps secrets from the Council. She has secrets of her own and even battles to keep her twin at bay. She’s like Wonder Woman!!

 

These two are perfect together and I hoped during the book Ashaya would help Dorian bring his animal out. But the book is more than just that, we also have the humans showing they want to fight too, and the packs have to handle attacks from all the sides.

 

This was a very action packed book and I loved every minute of it. Ashaya was perfect during her escape moments and so powerful to fight the PsyNet.

The is the friends becomes lovers story that actually worked for me, but maybe because I wanted Clay to have something good in his life. He suffers so much without his family. And after growing up with the humans having to hide his animal must have been awful.

Talin was for me a very strong human, is she’s just a human, but after the story progress we discover she’s more than that and is crucial to defend her truth and save those poor’s kids.

I liked Talin value and her strong motivations, but wanted her to search for Clay before this, because he’s tormented by their past and how she left him.

I liked this two working together and how they tried to learn from the past. For me Talin deserved forgiveness and her happy ending was well deserved. Clay was a protector from the very begin in their relationship and they worked the kinks out.

This series keeps getting better and in this book the author showed a different side of both species. We got a new relationship between an ex-Arrow and a Psy who abandoned the PsyNet to save his family and is a very dark and powerful man. Judd is now refugee on the SnowDancer pack and is helping the wolfs against the Psy, one of his missions he helped save Brenna.

Brenna story is related to the first book and is traumatized by her past and how a twisted Psy tried to kill her. Now Brenna is suffering again because the pack discovered an spy is working from the inside. A wolf is responsible for what happened to her in the first place.

These two were hot together and we now know more of the Psy way of hiding it’s problems and Judd is responsible for a very dark side of the Psy revenge. He has issues about the past and is trying to work on the new revolution.

I liked this romance and the action was also very dark and showed a good side of this future. Brenna was strong and very beautiful girl, and I loved how she fought for how things were and she just wants her life back.

This story was like a drug to me and I couldn’t wait to see more of Lucas hotness or Sascha very cold Psy nature.

 

This is the future and the world is divided in three species, The Psy, who can control almost anything related to the mind; The Humans, that looks to be just like us and weren’t really a subject that important in this book; Changeling, the shifters that can assume a animal form during any time they wish.

 

So the future is all about power and the Psy are currently fighting to control everything, but in some areas there’s more difficulty. The book showed us the story of San Francisco area and how these two species are working together and why is important to have all this power.

 

So we Sascha and at first I though she was a very confusing girl, but them I realized she’s not like the rest of the psy, with cold and very computerized minds that emotions are not allowed and is strange to see family links.

 

Of course she met Lucas and he’s exactly the opposite of her, he’s a changeling and is working to make his pact a very dominating in the area, but is also trying to stop the psy.

 

I liked this couple since the very start, because there’s chemistry and more than just lust, but mostly is the fact his cat knew she was important to him and made damn sure to fight for it.

 

Great first book and this series is very promising.
