He Never Misses a Target

Jake "the Snake" Sommers earned his SEAL codename by striking quickly and quietly – and with lethal force. That’s how he broke Michelle Carter’s heart. It was the only way to keep her safe – from himself. Four long years later, Jake is determined to get a second chance. But to steal back into Michelle’s loving arms, Jake is going to have to prove he can take things slow. Real slow…

She Aims to Make Him Beg

Michelle Carter has never forgiven Jake for being so cliché as to "love her and leave her." But when her brother, head of the Black Knights elite ops agency, ticks off the wrong mobster, she must do the unimaginable: place her life in Jake’s hands. No matter what they call him, this man is far from cold-blooded. And once he’s wrapped around her heart, he’ll never let her go…

This couple was a bit of surprise for me because I didn’t knew about their past or read much about them on the group before, but I liked the action parts of the book. The romance not so much. Believe Jake turned out to be a bit dummy not seeing things like the truth all along.

I didn’t like Jake attitude on the past and believe he could had tried a little better on loving Michelle, but I liked how he apologized and decided for fight on another chance since he still loves her.

I loved the history behind their past together, but he could had come back earlier to try and save their relationship. I liked these two together and how much Michelle loves him is clear for all to see.

Best part is Frank in the hole book, and he’s all for the couple to be together and happy. He looked to me like the story was alright and there wasn’t a single thing he didn’t knew.

Rebel with a Cause
Becky "Rebel" Reichert never actually goes looking for trouble. It just has a tendency to find her. Like the day Frank Knight showed up at her door, wanting to use her motorcycle shop as a cover for his elite special ops team. But Becky prides herself on being able to hang with the big boys-she can weld, drive, and shoot just as well as any of them.

Man with a Mission
Munitions, missiles, and mayhem are Frank’s way of life. The last thing the ex-SEAL wants is for one brash blonde to come within fifty feet of anything that goes boom. Yet it’s just his rotten luck when she ends up in a hostage situation at sea. Come hell or high water, he will get her back-whether she says she needs him or not.

I love a series filled with action and this time it was no difference, but the love story on this book was so much better than the first and we can feel the angst in some very crucial moments.

We all met Rebel in the first book and of course are well aware she is in love with Frank but we didn’t knew the reason he was trying to push her away so badly.

Luckily I found the explanation was satisfying because Frank is a tough guy and needed a very dark and obtuse place on his mind to made him want and hate at the same time. Its all connected with his past and very sad story. I really feel bad by all those moments he swore not to touch her while both only wanted a few moments together.

Rebel is a very fun girl and her story only showed her nature. she was kidnapped by pirates, and they used her knowledge on machines work for them. Of course Frank had to save her, plus we met Becky BFF and another romance is brewing for the future on this series.

But for this couple I only have great thoughts and words. Frank’s fear of the surgery was really cute to read and the way Becky finally discovered his secrets was so sweet. He’s a tough guy but very honorable.

Summary

He sure would love to have someone to take care of…
Dr. Mike Flynn’s single mom taught him early how to cook and clean, and there’s nothing like vacuuming or doing dishes to help a guy relax. Annabelle Ronaldi is an artist without a domestic bone in her body. Since her fiancé’s death, she can’t paint, and life looks hopeless.
Until the day after her sister’s wedding, when she wakes up with Mike next to her in bed, and then she’s really beside herself – because the handsome stranger is a dead ringer for her dead fiancé.
After their mind-blowing one night stand, Mike is sure this is the woman he wants to take care of forever, but she acts like she’s seen a ghost. While Mike sets to work wooing Annabelle, she sets to work sniffing out the truth of the convoluted family secret that turns everybody’s lives upside down.
My Thoughts
The first story in this series was a very pleasant surprise and I jumped really fast on book two. Since most of the characters are already know and we kinda can’t wait to see how they fell in love.
The first book is about Rosalie and we met her sister Annabelle there. I have to say that she sounded like a bitch from her appearance and I wanted someone better in this book, but some things happened in her past that made her that way and it took some time for her to overcome the sadness and really enjoy life again.
Nick introduced us he’s friend Mike when lee caught pneumonia and needed a doctor. First of all he sounded way more happy on the first book and after realizing that he’s life is not perfect as it sounded  kinda enjoyed more he’s responsible fair, because he was way to perfect to be true.
So these two met on the wedding and it was attraction at first sight. Annabelle was sad and he looked like someone else to her, but after getting drunk the night was really all about sex for them. But Mike wanted more, a relationship while Annabelle just wanted to enjoy good sex for the first time in her life.
Annabelle is kinda like her sister and not very domestic, but Mike also learned a thing or two with Vinnie, plus he’s a bit of crazy with cleaning parts, so they ended up like a copy of the same story on the first book and that’s the only part I didn’t like it.
But Annabelle had secrets and I enjoyed how she finally let herself open up and how she and Mike handled their problems. Mike discovered more about his family, but things ended up really good. In the end the book earned the forth star.

Summary
Rosalie Ronaldi doesn’t have a domestic bone in her body …
All she cares about is her career, so she survives on take-out and dirty martinis, keeps her shoes under the dining room table, her bras on the shower curtain rod, and her clothes on the couch …
Nick Romeo is every woman’s fantasy – tall, dark, handsome, rich, really good in bed, AND he loves to cook and clean …
He says he wants an independent woman, but when he meets Rosalie, all he wants to do is take care of her. Before too long, he’s cleaned up her apartment, stocked her refrigerator, and adopted her dog …
So what’s the problem? Just a little matter of mistaken identity, corporate theft, a hidden past in juvenile detention and one big nosy Italian family too close for comfort …
My Thoughts
This was a different book and it caught me real good. I was reading two other books at the time and couldn’t let this one down and didn’t even run to the internet while reading. It was like everything else could wait, but I needed my fix from Lee and Nick.
Nick is perfect guy, like a prince and he likes to clean and cook. There’s not a single man that can be accounted liking both these. But Nick has some faults that totally made him human. He lied, but he had reasons, so in the end he was still pretty high on the God-like list.
Rosalie has a little bit of problem with relationships and that’s only because her parents sucked at their marriage and fought all the time. So she decided to just enjoy life and work around her mother when marriage came to talk.
The thing is Nick met Rosalie one night and she was having a bad day so was he, but the chemistry was really strong and he asked her out. He didn’t told her a lot of things, but he was only protecting himself and tried to save the trouble.
I loved Nick and the hole world about this series showing great guys that can actually clean is so different and practically a dream, but I’m enjoying that and the first book was pretty much perfect. The romance and the sex were well written.
Robin Kaye is now on my favorite authors list because she made me believe in perfect guys once again, but they still have faults.

Book Blurb:
Sparks between love ’em and leave ’em pastry chef and poker sharp Marlene Bennet and traveling chef-for-hire Joe Rafferty when the two culinary perfectionists are forced to share a kitchen. But several suspicious accidents at the restaurant convince Marlene and Joe to work together to uncover the saboteur. Maybe a little intrigue and high-stakes poker will be the perfect ingredients for these commitment-phobic foodies to whip up a happily ever after.

My Thoughts:

Loved this book, everything is sweet about it, from the cover, to love story and the setting. From the first time I read the summary I feel in love for this story. Both characters had family problems and the way they live is a very expression on how that truly marked them.

Marlene is working on Charmeleon restaurant since her teenage years and is home for her, even if she struggles now to work with the chef. Her best friend owns the place is in the family for generations, but now situation is really difficult since her friend married a truly asshole and Marlie has to accept his orders.

When Olivia, Marlie’s friend discovers her husband cheating on her and files for divorce, the restaurant loses a chef. Marlie thinks that’s her chance to work as chef but Olivia calls Joe to help her out for a while.

I truly understand how Marlie gets upset, thinking that her friend doesn’t appreciate her because she doesn’t have a degree, and the way that she deals with her frustration is one night stand.

Joe on the other end is trying to change his life, from random women to a great job offer, but Marlie becomes more than a friend, and together they try to put the restaurant back on its feet and try to understand their feelings and how to live outside their normal.
