One more Callahan book to the series and this one was a bit strange for me. Several reasons actually. But the first thing that never leaves my mind is the fact Wolf kidnapped River and she was pregnant with three babies. But the worst part was the fact Tighe didn’t do a thing for about three months. Come on, do you have any idea what it takes to a woman body a multiple pregnancy and nobody in the family seemed to care about that.

 

Also very strange was the fact Tighe had to marry her just because she got pregnant. He was never into the marriage and kids thing, but now is a must for yesterday. Didn’t match his character. And I liked him more before this kidnapping thing. He was more normal and didn’t actually believed the legends and other strange stories. But I just can’t let go the fact they simply let her there. And if I were River, marriage would need to wait until that man groveled enough.

I liked a few books from this series, but read them out of order, so this is actually the first one and was released a few years ago. So this is more of an introduction to the characters and the city. I do love a good Harlequin book with babies and pregnancy.

 

So Pete is the oldest and had no idea about the secrets his Aunt Fiona was keeping and to after discovering all his life could be changed, made him think and decide to act. So he went after the woman he loved for years and now she’s pregnant with his triplets. The only problem is the fact she doesn’t want a wedding out of pity.

 

I really liked this book and it was nice seeing Pete doing all the work, because Jackie is in bed rest for the triple pregnancy, plus he wanted her to understand about their relationship and the more they can have. I liked Jackie and agree with her, because he never wanted a full relationship, only date nights with sex and out of the blue is wedding. Not cool, but he made good on the promise and the kids are so cute.

I had a hard time to get into this story, but this series is a good one. I love when a romance has a baby in the middle. Its fun to watch a couple try to handle the affair for the good of the baby and of course the also discover they usually have more in common than just a kid.

 

I’ve read a book from this series before, but I had no idea the author had already released other three or four after the one I read. Wow, so many books, but now I’ll dive into them all. Because this series is also about cowboys and they are the best ones to fall in love.

 

This book was about Taylor and Falcon trying a relationship because he jumped the bullet and asked her to marry him without even a date. He liked her and thought this was a good reason for a marriage, but she followed a friend advice and decided to date a few very successful guys just to be sure of the right thing to do, but in the middle of all the dating they had a night together and a baby was created.

 

But things were not over yet and she was kidnapped by his uncle, there’s a trouble with some stories about his parents and Taylor was attacked before Falcon could do a thing, but months went by and he decided to handle things on his own and the rescue was a bit too easy for my taste but I liked how things finally managed to find a HEA.

 

This was not my favorite story, but I liked the relationship, I just didn’t like the kidnapping and the time, plus the waiting was way off for me. I liked Falcon and that part was really good.

My Thoughts:

This was part of a series and it can be read as a stand-alone with no problem. Callahan’s have a big family and this is the last book on the series.

 

Jonas left Rancho Diablo because he thought Sabrina has a new boyfriend. He’s in love with her and they have a crazy relationship, but since she lied to him before now he has a problem in believing. After she showed up pregnant he decided to just left.

 

Sabrina is such a nice girl and I really cheered for her to get her happy ending, but sometimes in the book I wanted to scream to her what are you doing. She needed to find good reasons to stay and Jonas is a perfect cowboy with family issues but he’s someone to trust.

 

I liked him groveling almost the whole book and how these family is united, plus discovering those secrets was really interesting. Great read, with funny points all the way.
